Length and Cost of Cognitive Retraining

The length of time for adequate recovery is dependent on:

  1. the severity of deficits
  2. the length of time from injury to treatment
  3. the severity of secondary psychological issues
  4. the specificity of the program modules
  5. the client's ability to transfer skills to community
  6. the client's access to assistance
  7. the client's progress at 12 to 18 months (progress at this time is the best predictor of final functioning outcome)

The cost of a program is usuallly covered by worker's comp or other medical insurance. I can bill the client's insurance for payment of services.
